My complaint:

This complaint is about Red Lion Hotel Boise Downtowner. First thing I noticed walking into the lobby was how hot it was inside. Next the front desk is understaffed and undertrained. I go to my room and I was absolutely flabbergasted and disgusted at the filth on the floor. It’s a fake wood floor so you could see the dust and debris.

The bathroom, oh my goodness, the bathtub was the dirty and a had a rust stain growing outwards from the dripping faucet. I sat down and was feeling so low and unhappy because I knew I couldn’t go to another hotel because I prepaid for the four nights when I checked in per their unfair policy. And, to make matters worse the air conditioning was not working properly.

I requested another room explaining to the front desk person about the many horrible things. Next thing i hear a knock on my door, it’s the chief engineer(Jason) coming to fix the ac, haha, joke. I said can you wait until I switch rooms, well I’m getting off soon blah blah blah. I let him in and he didn’t do anything but try to justify why the air wasn’t cold. Although, he was my witness to the filth of the room and supposedly he was going to tell the front desk to that fact.

Once again I want to walk but I’m tied into this disgusting property. The other room was a little bit cleaner and the bathtub stain was in it’s infancy. The AC was just as bad except in one small hallway with an exit where I’d wait for my daughter to pick me up. I’d have to sit on the floor there to cool down throughout my stay.

My room wasn’t cleaned once in four nights. I’m a neat person so that really didn’t bother me as much. I wouldn’t trust that staff to be in my room unguarded anyways.

I was a doorman at a four star upscale mid-size hotel one block from Union Square San Francisco, CA. My point once again, when I travel I expect at least a clean room and for the air conditioning to work properly. Furthermore, there is absolutely no excuse for a dirty room.

Suggested solution:

I want a complete refund or a partial refund of the $880 wasted on that extremely over-priced, pre-pay in advance before you get to see the myriad of problems. I\'m calling their corporate headquarters tomorrow to request a refund of some kind.
