Quest Diagnostics complaint: Did not submit waiver to insurance company

My complaint:

Last year, I had blood work done in regards to Natera test at the location where I go for yearly checkups for my OB/GYN appointments. I was told my insurance wouldn’t cover it but I had the option to forward the information to Quest diagnostics to avoid receiving a $249 medical bill. All the work was done right away. Unfortunately, I received the medical bill almost a year later ANYWAY. Turns out that NOTHING was done by Quest diagnostics to prevent this from happening. Natera told me everything and I can’t redo what I did last year because the payment has been processed. Quest should have submitted the information to my insurance company and didn’t. It’s one thing to deliver shabby service to my mother and I for blood work, but they’ve gone TOO FAR.

Suggested solution:

They need to explain to me why they didn't process the information in time and why am I getting nailed with a bill almost a year later.
