My complaint:
I would like to bring to your notice the case of travel of my Mother, (Mrs.Meena Agarwal) from Budapest, Hungary to New Delhi on 8th September. (Booking reference – 6GZAEA – ticket attached).
Since she had a surgery some time back, she has problem to walk long distances, the special service (wheelchair till aircraft ramp) was booked for her (ation attached).
Once she reached Doha airport from Budapest, the wheel chair assistant took her to the wrong boarding gate asked her to wait there – After which he left. She was waiting there for an hour when she realized that this is not the correct boarding gate- She had missed her connecting flight. The gate number was written on her boarding pass by the person at the check in counter at Budapest airport.
She spoke to the Qatar staff regarding this issue, but it was of no help – In fact, they accused her of the mistake said they cannot book her on the next flight or do anything else to resolve the equation.
She explained them the complete situation, but it was of no use. Eventually, we had to buy another ticket for her so she could board the next flight from Doha to Delhi.
My mother is 66 years old, senior citizen she deserved a better treatment. It is extremely disappointed to see how your airline staff treated her during the travel. Firstly, it is so irresponsible of the wheel-chair assistant who took her to the wrong boarding gate without checking the correct gate. Then, instead of accepting the mistake, your staff blamed her made her wait for hours. This is so unprofessional unethical from your staff due to which my mother has to suffer mentally physically – she was very tired was feeling unwell all this while.
I look forward to a clarification on this case from you on immediate basis also a refund for the flight that was booked for her from Doha to Delhi.
