My complaint:
I have just given up watching the first of the new Prime series The Continental because of the blatant way in which smoking is represented. The close-ups of cast members lighting up, inhaling deeply and exhaling slowly, with scenes of smoke lazily spiralling upwards against a dark background is so frequent as to be far more than coincidental. I don’t know how much tobacco manufacturers are paying Amazon to promote their products but for me it’s a source of anger, disgust and is the ultimate switch-off moment. There are no health benefits associated with smoking and Amazon should not be encouraging it in this manner.
Suggested solution:
Stop promoting smoking in their original series.
