My complaint:

I purchased a pack of 8 piece chicken on the 18 January,i then got to work and put it in the fridge ,when i knocked off i was getting a funny smell but thought that its nothing serious ,this smell persisted as i was on the bus ,hold and behold when i got home this chicken had a rotten smell ,like someone was dead thats how it smelled I even laid it in vinegar water as i thought i could save if because this is worth a pot of food,i was utterly disgusted as i lost a R67 and mind you its that time of the year where one doesnt have extra to spend .I work in town so every morning i would pop in to purchase a few things and pick n pay was always my go to place ,however i am now reconsidering to purchase else where i had to dispose of the chicken as i could not travel with smelly chicken on the bus just to return it .Today on the 19 January i then decided to go back and purchase another pack of chicken as i of cause need it ,the smell that was is coming from the butcher is disgusting ,it smells like rotten dead dog and that is a hygiene hazard ,a huge concern as meat suppose to smell fresh and clean ,90% of the time when i go in to the store in strand street cape town there are meats in the fridges that are already turning blue,Is this the quality pick n pay is now giving to loyal customers??people looses money on a daily because of the waste meat you are selling to people. If there is no improvement in the Strand store ill be forced to lay a complaint with the health inspectors because people could get sick of the rubbish you selling as a well known leading company.I am utterly disappointed as that rotten smell is literally still sitting in my nose.

I never ever had a issue with pick n pay and threw away the receipt so i have no proof of purchase but i paid with my bank card and swiped my smart shopper so go and pull those records as you can see how often i am in the store in strand street cape town

hope this gets resolved asap ,looking forward to hear from you

Suggested solution:

Make sure to check ther butcher and not sell rotten meats.
pay back the amount i spent on the chicken or offer a goodwill for the inconvenience
