My complaint:
Good Afternoon,
My family and I have just returned from Skipsea (caravan 177 northfield) for what was your final weekend before closure. Whilst we enjoyed the majority of our stay there were aspects of our visit that left us frustrated given that we had paid for an experience.
We arrived a little after 5pm on Friday (29th) and although our caravan should have been ready from 4pm it was still being cleaned. We noted a massive pot hole outside our caravan that we later reported to reception but were told this would not be rectified. I stated that we intended to leave early Monday morning (before 6am) and was concerned about getting stuck, we were told that if we couldn’t get out then we could let them know at 8am for assistance. Also on arrival we noted a broken travel cot outside our caravan that was full of rubbish. We were told that this would be removed that evening but remained until Sunday evening causing quite a bad smell.
We enjoyed the facility’s that were booked but unfortunately on the first evening whilst trying to purchase drinks we were told they had a limited stock due to it being the last weekend before closure. We experienced the same issue with the restaurant all weekend and on the Sunday evening went hungry as we planned to have a pizza from the entertainment complex and although timings saying it was open until “late” it was actually closed when we arrived around 18:00.
I’m overall disappointed that we paid our money like everyone else but were unable to access basic facilities. Closure should not be an excuse to offer less when your website indicates what should be expected.

Suggested solution:
I feel that a refund in some way is appropriate given that what we paid for is not what we received.
