I have been refused a refund for ty mawr due to arrive 12421. I was made to use a voucher I had no option to decline last April otherwise I would loose the full amount! I was also informed that if I took out cancellation cover that I would be covered if facilities were closed on the park. I have been ringing parkdean for weeks regarding the boarder closures to English tourists by Mark Drakeford on BBC news stating that the boarders will not be open for the English in April! This was still the case on 8421. The 9421 he decided to allow English tourists into Wales…. that gives me 3 days to make arrangements for my vulnerable child to go away without the support of the friends we were going with.. there would be myself and my 2 daughters with only outdoor sports and activities available and click and collect food service. This was not what I paid £499 for. I contacted them weeks in advice about a refund so I could arrange other activities to do that week as it’s the second Easter they have not been able to do anything. Parkdean offered to move the date,… I am a single mum working 2 jobs and have a holiday in Majorca booked in July for 14 nights. I do not want to rebook to go away after this as I can’t afford more time off work and more money to pay out when the price increases (like this one, and for 3 days less!) every telephone call the advice has not been consistent regarding policy’s or TCS, promised that I would be contacted by someone else and never was. Spoken to condescendingly from staff. Obviously all this is supported by their recorded phone calls. The lady I spoke to at ty mawr tried to put me through to a customer advisor as I was finding it difficult to get through without being 30 in the queue, or getting through for the phone to be hung up. She advised me that she got through on the number she had but she’s not allowed to pass the call through and that if I sent an email they would give me a refund minus £100! After the experience of lies from parkdean and never having responses I decided to call them myself again and this is where full refusal for any refund was made and basically tough! They were happy for me to complain and go through the motions!! Disgusting!
You should refund me all moneys owed! Apologise for staff and train your staff on customer care and their knowledge of your company!
