Parkdean Resorts complaint: Put in wrong chalet?

My complaint:

When booked in 2021 we asked for a chalet No 18 which overlooked a lake. When the e-mail arrived it said we where in Chestnut Forest no 47. I then phoned the office to check it was a chalet and was told it was .On arrival we went to pick the key up and was told it should have a seal on the door. if the seal was broken not to go in. When we got there there was no seal on the door and it was locked .My Husband went back to the office to explain that the door was locked with no seal on it. Someone came and unlocked the door, we went inside, he had a quick look around to make sure it had been cleaned, it was very cold as the heating and hot water were not on He then called for the maintance man who came and turned it on but had to come back as the pressure was not high enough to make the hot water come on. A seal was then put on the door for my husband to break. We then found out that the gas was not on for the cooker, we found the tap and put it on ourselfes ( we were told later we should not have done this) .On top off all this the chalet was in the middle of a upgrading site which means ALL the chalets around us were being worked on from 7am – 7pm EVERY DAY including weekends with lorries and vans turning up with deliveries for the chalets. THIS WAS NOT THE HOLIDAY WE WANTED. We should off been told that we were in the middle of a building site, and not put there.

Suggested solution:

We should not have been put there in the first place. The suite was not busy so other accommodation must have been available.
