Parkdean Resorts complaint: Condition of caravan at South View Caravan Park Ref 8015289

My complaint:

Arrived Fri 49 at 5:30pm, the caravan had a very strong smell of dogs and multiple flies and spiders.

Reception advised the park was at full capacity and we could not be moved but offered a deep clean.

We were advised we would receive a call once the clean had taken place.
By 9pm with a tired 5 year old we had no call but returned to the caravan.

The clean had not taken place.

Then the TV did not work, we called the emergency number and were advised this would be placed on the job sheet for the following morning.

After a further two calls to reception and a visit to reception the TV was replaced Saturday evening at 7pm.

Also the fire did not work and the fridge would only stay closed if we placed a buffet in front of it.

The shower hose would not stay up right when in the shower.

A deep clean never took place so we were stuck with a strong smell of dogs the whole weekend.

Although South View Park itself is a pleasant park and well maintained the caravan really did ruin our holiday.

The most upsetting thing is we did pay a supplement for an upgraded caravan and it was terrible with so many faults.

Suggested solution:

A refund for the cost of the holiday upgrade.

The caravan was dirty with numerous faults, mainly no TV or working fire in the living area.
