ParcelCompare complaint: Very unimpressive and disappointing delivery service!

My complaint:

I was very impressed with the speedy collection of my parcel from a hotel in Dubai but once it got to the UK it was a different matter! Apparently three delivery attempts were made and on the last occasion I was at home all day and no-one attempted to deliver my parcel. No cards had been left informing me of the attempted deliveries nor had I received any mobile phone messagescalls. To be able to be sure of receiving my parcel I have had to arrange for it to be collected from the nearest depot, which is still some way away from my home!

Suggested solution:

By refunding me a percentage of the initial cost I have paid (£170.00) for a service I have only partially received!
