My complaint:
My NordVPN was set up with MFA (multi-factor authentication) where a passcode is sent to my cellphone to authenticate logging into my account.
I was having problems with my new SIM card and had to reset and restore my phone to a backup before i had purchased the NordVPN subscription.
After restoring my phone, and re-installing the NordVPN App on my restored phone, the App does not generate a security code to my phone, which prevents me to log into my account.
i end numerous emails to NordVPN but received no response for more than 2 weeks, and after resending my emails in multiple successions, they finally responded telling me i need to send them a copy of the receipt of my purchase in order for them to verify i am the rightful owner of the account.
I send a screen shot of the email receipt from NordVPN showing the receipt receipt originated from NordVPN, the date it was purchased, the amount of the purchase, and the method of payment used to make the purchase.
NordVPN responded the screen shot of the receipt was not acceptable.
I told NordVPN they were unreasonably difficult to deal with where i am not able to log in to use my subscription service after just a little over 30 days purchasing their service, and therefore i requested a full refund.
NordVPN responded that because i had passed the 30 refund period, they will not process my refund.
WHAT IS A CUSTOMER TO DO when i purchased 2 years of subscription service and used less than 2 months of service, and can’t log into my account when their MFA is not generating a passcode to my phone in order to let me log into my account??!
Suggested solution:
1) Verify my complaint that indeed their MFA feature is not working properly.
2) Send MFA verification code to my email since their system is not generating a code to my cellphone, so that i can log into my account.
3) Use the NordVPN receipt i had provided to verify my purchase.
4) Reset my account to eliminate the MFA feature so i can log into my account.
5) FIRE THE EMPLOYEES WHO WERE TOTALLY NOT HELPFUL.
6) OR PROVIDE A FULL REFUND so i can purchase VPN service from a more reputable company
