My complaint:

MSC World Europa
27Mar2023 – 11April2023

Being informed to take Covid-19 PCR test which takes several hours; simple Antigen Test is NOT accepted.
Checked MSC web sites information before going to terminal, it does NOT mentioned any Covid-19 test before boarding.
There was another ship MSC Opera departing Abu Dhabi the same day. BUT PASSENGERS ON THIS SHIP DO NOT REQUIRE TEST. Both ships were more or less same itinerary in Middle East, except World Europa will arrive Italy 14 days later. Italy does not require Covid-19 test on entering.
We had no alternative but to take test on cruise terminal as arranged by MSC and paid extra US$75passenger. One MSC staff was working together with the lab. But he didn’t care passengers need.
MSC should inform passengers on embarkation notice; and surely should not have different treatment between ships.
Test result took 5 hours, we had no alternative but to wait in the terminal for test results from 11.30 to 17.00.
It was Ramadan period, all restaurants, shops were closed. We were hungry and thirsty!!

Suggested solution:

Explain and tell us the facts; compensate test fee and other compensation.
