My complaint:

Hello my name is Karrie Sandfort. I have Reservations from April 28th to May 6th. At at motel 6 east in columbia mo. I qqhave been very ill in the hospital For a period of time and then I went to my daughter’s to Recover. Then my home Sold in new Bloomfield, and we don’t close on new house till May 5th, so I just decided to come stay In columbia and ask my best friend if she would like a mini vacation with me. My first issue is online it said my total price was 396. I joined motel6 club to get an even better deal. My when I arrived was 442.00 they told me they charge a deposit. Now they have credit card on file I don’t understand the deposit too. Now when I was making the reservations that deposit wasn’t t included in my order, I never seen anything about this extra fee. Ppl need to be made aware of, sometimes that money is all they have.
Our 1st day here As guest We’re pretty good , we woke up my best friend went out and took our dirty towels to the housekeeper and ask for Clean towels and told her we needed no service at this time. So my best friend came back and she told me. She told the housekeeper . my best friend left she had to go to work she does doordash day-and-night so in-and-out of a lot.The housekeeper came to my door and opened it and came on in. She did not knock till she had the door open and sedn me. She asked if we needed housekeeping I saidq no and my friend just told her that. I could have been naked or any number of private things. I feel uncomfortable. And not safe at all with staff just walking into my room. When my best friend got back from doordashing I went to Walmart. When I arrived back at the motel6 that housekeep that just barged into my room was at front desk. She stopped Me at desk and asked if we had been smoking in our room. I said no that neither one of us smoke at all. She told me yes you are you got a bag over the fire alarm in your room. I said we didn’t do that it was already there. We just assumed the fire alarm was broken and we went on. I said why would we do that if where not smoking, and you can smell our room and clearly tell we are not smoking in their. Further more I’m on a walker and we both are very short and can’t even reach it. She just repeated again we done that, I said no way it wasn’t us,it makes no sense at all for us to do it. She said she didn’t care and I was lying to her. I told her once again i had no idea how it got there but it was already covered, and we did not do it. I was so upset and so embarrassed, there was other guest in the lobby while this woman was going off on me. I got back to my room and I was telling my friend what happened. She told me while I was gone the older guy that works here done the ssmething no knocking and just barged right into our room for no reason. He asked my friend if we needed housekeeping. She said no once again. And he left.. i feel so uncomfortable here and unsafe. I’m very uneasy about the entire situation. We are stuck here, I don’t guess they give refunds I paid 442.00 you would think you could atleast have privacy and be treated with respect. I was so embarrassed about how i was treated in front of the other guest. We are good ppl, we stay to ourselves, keep our room picked up. I will never ever come back to this place I will tell everyone i know how I was treated. This is a horrible motel. You know what is the funniest thing of all the fire alarm that they was so worried about. I mean barging into our room. Yelling at me and calling me a liar. And just being totally disrespectful to me in front of other guest. They never fixed the fire alarm its exactly the way it was. So why didn’t you fix it if it was such a big issue. Me or my friend can’t reach it and it’s hanging down all still hooked up. So we don’t want to mess anything up. This has been a horrible experience and we done nothing wrong to those ppl. I’m stuck here, I’m uncomfortable, and I feel unsafe with the staff just walking in and out our room.

I simply want a refund. I don't want Free nights for another time, because
I will never stay here again. The horrible staff needs to be fired
