My complaint:
27/04/22 I placed an order on line with morrisons to be delivered on 29/04/22 between 8pm and 9pm as I had friends coming on 30/04/22 at 12pm to celebrate my 60th Birthday. I received an email on the 29th to say my order would be delivered later on the 29th as the driver had a punctured tyre. so I phoned to make sure that I would get my order on 29th and was told driver’s sister passed away, 2 different stories, but my order was out for delivery and I would still get it, a lie.
By 10.30pm still no order so checked my emails and another email from Morrisons to say my order would not be delivered that night, phoned the office 10.50pm and it was closed so phoned 30th at 8am to be told I would not receive my order until after 3pm, which was no good to me and I explained that I had all these people coming at 12pm again was told it would be after 3pm. I had to cancel the order and run to the local shop to get what I could which was nothing like what I ordered from Morrisons. It ruined my 60th Birthday as I did not have the items I needed. I am so disgusted with Morrisons and I think I will be shopping at Tesco from now on.
Suggested solution:
I should have had my order delivered first thing the next morning and not given 2 different stories.
