Morrisons complaint: Ingredients in Morrison’s Baker’s product 4 Plain Scones

My complaint:

Firstly, I tried to contact Morrisons on their 0345 611 6111 number and there is no response. Secondly I emailed their fresh@morrisons.com as advised on their website. But I got an automated reply saying the service is no longer in operation.

I purchased 4 plain scones from Morrison’s Baker’s section yesterday. Later in the evening I ate one of the scones which I didnt finish as the product was of such poor quality and was quite inedible. Within half an hour I developed severe burning pains in my stomach. I looked at the ingredients list on the pack and was horrified at the ingredients listed as the quantity and expanse of these taken together are dangerous to human health. Also the combination of these ingredients should not be taken with many commonly prescribed medications. I did not expect such a list of ingredients to be listed in a product labelled plain scones. I still have the severe burning in my stomach today and have not been able to get an appointment with my GP. I have also not been able to attend my employment.

Suggested solution:

I want them to contact me to let me know they know about the health damage such a list of ingredients can cause and if they test for risks to human health in all of their own brand products. Also, that they remove risk to human health in their own brand products from circulation in all their supermarkets . And lastly I want compensation for the damage their product has done to my health and inconvenience they have caused me in their lack of response and loss of wages.
