My complaint:

On 1016 I purchased a Spode teacup and saucer thinking it was a regular size teacup. There was no mention in the description that this was a demitasse or small teacup. When I received it on 1021, I was shocked to see it was a demitasse cup. I reached out to the seller for a refund but she said she didn’t misrepresent it. I filed a claim that the seller did not accurately describe the size. Other listings say demitasse upfront in the listing. Jhaycee from Mercari on 1022 denied the refund because based on the photos it seemed the item was as described. He said that it was my responsibility to ask questions. I asked questions about the condition but had no reason to question size. The seller did not disclose key information about the size. I did not want a demitasse; I was looking for a regular size cup to go with my own cup.

Suggested solution:

Approve refund postage paid by the seller for not disclosing key information that this was a demitasse teacup, not regular size. The seller bears responsibility for oroviding this key piece of information upfront in the listing.
