My complaint:
A buyer bought perfume. It was never opened sealed in box. Buyer gets it and sends me a million messages about how bad the perfume is and she couldn’t afford to spend the money on it so she requested a return. Mercari never even showed me the return complaint so idk what the buyer said to have the return go through. I just got the usual text make sure you’re item is as described take good photos etc. that was all done including batch numbers etc. so how was not as described if sealed in box with no damage or leaking. I never even had a chance to respond to this request. The customer sent it back, no longer sealed or unused which now devalues my product. I tested the perfume and it’s perfect smells exactly how it’s supposed to, not the first time I’ve this same exact product.
Suggested solution:
Now that the buyer was able to return it but of course not in the same condition I feel I should be reimbursed for the purchase amount or the devalued amount. And Mercari needs to do a lot better at protecting their sellers against fraudulent claims.
