My complaint:
Prior to Oct 24, 2022, I sold a couple of items on the Mercari Marketplace website. I had an account balance of $58.08 in my account. On Oct 24, I processed a request to have the money transferred to my bank account. There was some interruption in the transmission. The transaction did not get processed correctly. So Mercari returned the funds to my Mercari account less a $2 processing fee. Now my account balance is $56.08. I reviewed all the information at my end (bank account info, transfer amount, etc.). Everything on my end was correct. Therefore, I attempted to transfer the money again using THE EXACT SAME INFORMATION. On the second attempt, everything went through just fine. The $56.08 is now in my personal checking account. Mercari will not refund me the $2 processing fee because the interruption that caused the failure was in their system, not at my end. This is not right. They are making up excuses stating that the fee is with my bank, not Mercari. I know that is not true. This is a Mercari-imposed fee. I have several email threads all denying the $2 refund for different reasons.
Suggested solution:
I would like my $2 process fee refunded.
