My complaint:

On Saturday 6th November at approx 22.30, I ordered 2 burgers at the drive through. One was a cheeseburger and one a double cheeseburger. While eating the cheeseburger, I felt a burning sensation on my tongue. During the night, my throat was also burning and is still burning almost 24 hrs later. I have had no stomach problems. The food was at normal temperature and had no strange taste. The burning sensation seemed to come from the pickle in the sandwich. Although this may sound strange, I finished the burger. I am concerned that something may have been contaminated which may affect other people

Justified complaint?

Suggested solution:

I returned to the restaurant on 7.11.21 to raise the issue. The manager I spoke to was sympathetic and apologised and suggested something may have been on the grill used. She said she would raise it with the shift manager concerned, but as it was the previous day, she could not do anything else. She was very polite.
I am contacting you to check that this has been followed up as I am concerned.
I have to add that this has not put JE off using McDonald’s in the future
