Lyft complaint: Lyft Driver blocked our Drive-Thru window for 25 Minutes

My complaint:

On 352022 (today) your Driver Joseph Aguilar AZ license plate no. 425-VYD (blue Ford Focus) refused to pull forward after his order was taken and he paid by credit card. We were forced to call the police to get him to move his car.

All of our drive-thru customers are asked to pull forward to reserved wait parking spaces after they pay for their order, while we make their food. Aguilar refused and then cursed at our team members and the manager, so he was denied service and offered a refund. However, he demanded a cash refund instead of having the order refunded to the credit card he used for payment. We don’t give cash refunds for credit card purchases, because the person can later deny the charge plus have the cash.

We told Aguilar we would call the police if he didn’t pull forward, he didn’t budge. When the police arrived, they issued Aguilar a no-trespass citation. If Aguilar returns to our restaurant, he will be denied service and arrested for trespass if he doesn’t leave immediately.

Aguilar is a very poor representative for your company. He wasted valuable police resources and inconvenienced many of our customers. If I were you, I wouldn’t want Aguilar driving around in his car with a Lyft sticker prominently displayed. I can only imagine how he treats your Lyft riders.

Suggested solution:

I suggest you longer allow Aguilar to be a Lyft driver, to show him there are consequences for his actions and poor behavior.
