My complaint:
On July 10th, 2022 I pushed the button to open the moonroof for fresh air. However, the moonroof slid back slowly to open and all of the sudden, the moonroof sunshade or slide cover buckled compressed while it was trying to open! I then closed the moonroof and brought in our 2017 Lexus RX450h-0083 Ultra White to Lexus Stevens Creek to diagnose the moonroof malfunction issue. I was serviced by Sanson Du and he told me that the moonroof cannot be repaired and the vehicle needs to replace Moonroof Slide Assembly Sub-Assembly which would cost $3,800! I was charged $248 for diagnose fee which is the same failure reason I have shown Samson upon arrival for the service!
Since this moonroof malfunction is common and failed on its own, we would like Lexus to review the damage situation and have the Moonroof Slide Assembly Sub-Assembly and all garnishes replaced for FREE! Please review our moonroof repair request and expedite the repair service for FREE as soon as you can. We really enjoy driving this RX450h with the moonroof open while traveling since we bought the vehicle brand new.
