LATAM Airlines complaint: Misled by a latam agent now I can’t use my ticket latam won’t refund me

My complaint:

I am travelling to Brazil with my pets. Before buying the ticket I called latam to check if I would be able to carry my pets in the cabin with me. I would be flying with one and my partner with another one. The agent told my partner Before the purchase of the ticket that Latam do allow travelling with pets but we should first buy the ticket and then call latam to inform the ticket number to add the service. After purchasing the ticket I called latam but spoke with a different person this time who upon checking said that LATAM is not offering this service. I raised a complaint and LATAM sent me an email asking me phone number and time we first spoke ti the agent so they could check the recorded call. After providing the information my case was closed and Latam said they wouldn’t be able to help me because I purchased the ticket from a travel agency. I only bought the ticket because LATAM gave me the wrong information and now they won’t take responsibility for that. I can’t fly without my cats so I will lose all tickets both outgoing and return since international flights don’t allow the use of the ticket if you missed your outgoing flight.
