My complaint:
I have wasted hours this morning trying to contact Latam to find out what was the problem with paying with my US credit cards (Amex or Visa) which are both perfectly good.
It keeps telling me that it does not have cuotas and sends me to a cambia cuotas section which means, nothing, explains nothing, and is totally unhelpful, except for stating the obvious –that the credit card will control the exchange rate– but still blocks the payment.
There is no point in calling them, as their answering, system is just as useless. You have to give your ticket number, which you cannot have until you pay, which their online system prevents you from doing.
I have never seen such a frustrating and incompetent system
