My complaint:
My flight was cancelled from Easter Island to Santiago.
I was promised $500 compensation at the help desk, and told I needed to lodge this request online.
My account wouldn’t let me open the request, so I submitted a case the same day requesting the compensation.
It has now been 14 days without a response (I have followed up via email and phone). So today I called them to discuss the compensation again – to which they told me I needed to submit the request the same day as the flight over the phone and therefore I am now not entitled to compensation.
I am appalled, given I submitted a request that day and am still waiting for some kind of response.
SCAM!
Suggested solution:
Give me the compensation I am due.
