My complaint:
For years I have used this Ladbrokes shop. On Saturday I put a 10p EW Lucky 63 on. I took the guaranteed odds on all the selections and had the luck to have 2 winners. I took 201 odds for the first and it came in at SP 281. The second I took 281 odds and it came in at 201 SP. Therefore two 281 winners returning £95.58 for a £82.98 profit. When I went to pick up my winnings on Sunday they tried to fob me off with £63. I said that’s not right, they said come back tomorrow. So I did, and now they say guaranteed odds only apply to Grid Card holders. I am a grid card holder anyway, but never in the past did they tell me I had to produce my card to get those odds. The fact there is a giant screen in the shop advertising guaranteed odds implies a customer regardless of Grid Card “status” should get those odds. When an issue like this has arisen in the past Ladbrokes paid the difference without quibbling.
Suggested solution:
Ladbrokes should just pay me the difference. They implied their odds were guaranteed and they should honour that implication or take down the giant screens in their shops. If the odds are advertised and I’m not getting those odds because of some small print that never applied in the past then I will be forced to frequent Bet Fred which is, guess what, next door.
