My complaint:

At about 1100AM 22.04.2022 called into KFC on Bank Street to query about ordering on line as I had never done it before. Explained to girl on counter that I( wanted to place an order for Kentucky Fried for evening between 630 and 700pm and asked if she could help me put in the order. Was told would have to order on line – no mention of the fact that it should only be ordered about half an hour before ordering.

At about 1200 returned to KFC as noticed that delivery was to be about 1240 and no place to change delivery times. Spoke to supervisor who said no problem that he would change the delivery time to 630pm and also added a coleslaw to the order for me. Assured me the order would be delivered about 630. Supervisor also contacted delivery driver and told him to return the Kentucky Fried he had to base. No mention was made at all the orders should be submitted about half an hour before being required.

At about 130pm a delivery driver came with th KFC admitted he had received a phone call but had the chicken to deliver and told me I should have contacted KFC South as that was where the order should have gone to.

Shortly after I drove to KFC South End and spoke to the manager. She knew all about the order and said that it would definitely be delivered at about 630pm, when I explained it had already been delivered and was in the car she said to bring it in and again assured me that my order would be delivered around 630pm.

At no time was I advised about when to order in the future and only realised it when 2 of my children and their families came for dinner.

After waiting until 730pm decided to get takeaways as a local takeaway shop.

I tried to stop the Visa payment going through about 930am 23.04.2002 but it had already gone through.

Suggested solution:

Either Visa be reimbursed the amount of $67.97 NZ or repaid in another way. A credit would be acceptable but with a reasonable expiry date (if any)
