Jackson-Hewitt’s ‘What the Buck’ commercial is offensive to a number of viewers. I find it surprising that a mainstream company that should want to appeal to a broad spectrum of people has chosen to promote their company with the above mentioned commercial. Choosing to use an adult themed commercial on television is in bad taste. Airing it during hours that children are watching TV is not only in bad taste, it is irresponsible and inexcusable. If the company’s goal was to get people’s attention and create a buzz, they have succeeded. But they have done it at the cost of losing any sense of being a respectable andor responsible company. Shame on them.
I believe the commercial should be discontinued immediately. An apology would be helpful.
