My complaint:

I have no problem with paying for a membership fee for a service, however, I woke up this morning to find that instead of deducting the $9.99 that I agreed to pay monthly, instacart has instead taken it upon itself to take a yearly membership payment of $99. Now everyone know we’re are in the middle of a pandemic and no one can afford to have their money going anywhere except exactly where they need it to go. What’s the point of giving people the option to choose whether to pay monthly or yearly if you’re just going to do what you want anyway? I’m very disappointed and will be canceling this service because what they’re doing is essentially theft.

Suggested solution:

Perhaps they should consider NOT stealing from their customers. If someone says they'll pay monthly at the rate of $9.99, don't charge them the yearly rate of $99. It's quite simple really. I wish I had a photo for proof but Instacart doesn't allow you to look at past tickets.
