My complaint:

On Monday, 4182022, I accepted a batch for $14 and some change as usual. While enroute to the store I received a message stating it was from an Instacart representative Peter S at 415-696-9990. The messaged stated that I needed to call before I started shopping. So I called the number and was advised that I could not shop the batch due to an issue with the customer but I would be credited for the batch and also given $15 for the inconvenience. I was asked to hold for processing. The person came back on the line and advised me to go into my settings, under add credit, they then gave me a 16 digit credit card with expiration date and pin code to enter. I entered the information. Then they told me to enter the security code to the changes. I did. I was then told I would see the credit shortly and that it would go back to my original credit card immediately after I refreshed. So I did and ed the batch had been removed. Then I was told I could continue shopping. I did so. It was at this time I realized something was wrong because I was kicked out of the app and had to log back in but when I did my account was deactivated. I contacted customer care immediately. I kept getting the run around and insulted by representatives at every turn. I called back 4212022 because I cashed out $40.35 which did not go into my bank account but it went into the account that the fake Instacart representative gave me. So I’m sure my shopper account has been high jacked. I can log into my account. I cannot accept batches. The credit card on the account at this time is not mine. I don’t know who it belongs to. I did not change it because I thought it would automatically switch back like I was told and also I was told that I was wrong about all of this and no one could access my account without my permission. My account was hacked and Instacart is giving me the run around.

Suggested solution:

Reactivate my account immediately and make sure the money that was stolen from me is put back in my account. I worked hard and spent gas! I lost $14 and some change as well as $40.35. I would appreciate it if they make it right rather than treating me carelessly.
