My complaint:
I live in Alberta Canada and we have 5% GST (goods and services tax) here. When I shop using Instacart (which I do regularly), Instacart is charging taxes that do not exist here where I live. I am essentially being double taxed! Instacart charges GST (which is correct) but then also charges a “sales tax” and a “service fee tax” on top of the GST which is already a tax on the products and the services. This has not always been the case but these extra taxes have been added to my orders over the last couple of months. I spoke with Instacart and she refused to listen or do anything about it.
Suggested solution:
STOP CHARGING FALSE TAXES. CHARGE PROPER TAXES ACCORDING TO CUSTOMERS LOCATIONS.
