My complaint:
I have been a devoted instacart shopper since may I was unable to get unemployment for my warehouse job I’d been at for a year and had signed my lease for my 1st apartment two weeks before shutdown here in Michigan. My birthday was my move in date and and was a day after the shutdown was lifted. I have grown out of the crack in a sidewalk and instacart has aided in that growth. But now I need help too and I’ve been risking my life, my vehicle, and sacrificing my free time. They sent out an email saying there would be a ‘Thank you’ bonus to all full service shoppers meaning shoppers such as myself who pick the groceries in store then also deliver them in our own vehicles. If you did 200 batches (orders) for 2020 as a whole you could be compensated 50-500 dollars. I only received $50. I’ve been doing this since May….I calculated it and I have done 269 orders sometimes 35 in a couple day timespan. That’s driving, wear n tear, and facing the public in a pandemic and I received the bare minimum that someone who has done at least 10 batches in december has received. We are not on the same level. If I could I’d screen shot my orders so you can count for yourself if you provide an email I can but it can’t be sent on here. The shopper ‘bumps’ is the term they chose for the bonus. I don’t know if they planned to send it in increments but that wasn’t specified and they have made sure they cannot be contacted directly.
Suggested solution:
I want the $500 thank you bonus that I truly believe i am entitled to I would feel truly appreciated then. My customers are my first priority always when I shop I seek to give them the best that they deserve and keep them informed and listen to what they want. Now I want to be the priority, I want to be appreciated, and valued.
