My complaint:
I recently bought the MALM nightstand from Ikea Elizabeth store in NJ. After spending two hours to assembly it, I found out that the screw that’s already installed to the board when I bought it, was stripped. So that will cause the drawer stuck in halfway when I open it.
When I call customer service, they said because I bought it from the store, I’ll have to bring it back in order to get a refund, and so I drove another two hours to bring the broken nightstand back, and I bought another replacement (the OLDERDALEN nightstand. When I got home and after assembling it, I found out this one is again, broken. The screw that connects handle to the board cannot be screwed all the way to the bottom and so caused the handle cannot be installed onto the board.
There’s no customer service, no quality control for stuff you bought from Ikea. What a shame to them. I’m filing a complaint to raise more awareness.
Suggested solution:
Reimburse for the nightstand and mail me a replacement
