My complaint:
i received a letter from Indiana State saying that I still owed them 990.32 because when tax pro filed the amendment they did not include the original Ohio tax credit therefore I still had a balance of 990.32 (including 89.60 penalty and 4.72 interest) I immediately sent a message to my tax pro Julie and never heard back. I then called 937-323-1040 and told them what was going on and they said John would know what to do so set an a phone appointment for him to call me back June 29 at 10:40. Didn’t hear from him so I called the same number back and talked to same lady and she set another appointment up with John for a telephone conference again to see how we could handle this. Of course never heard from John again so I sent a total of 4 emails and the only response I received was over a month ago saying Julie was not working the summer therefore they would give to some else to look at and get back with me. In the mean time no one ever contacted me again. I had to pay the balance to avoid a lien so I did. Now the State of Indiana is telling me I have to file for a refund with the state of Ohio to get back my credit with them of 896.00. I sent another email to HR Tax Pro asking them to please just file the Ohio as I took out the insurance where they would handle any issues. To date nothing and I am at a loss except to pay another tax company to file the Ohio State refund.
Suggested solution:
file with Ohio State to get back our 896.00 that we don't owe! as far as the penalty and interest I would eat that if I could just get HR lock to respond. Otherwise I have been instructed to contact an attorney and I keep very detailed records for them to handle and at that time I will expect a settlement for my pain and suffering. I will do this if I am forced too!!
