My complaint:
My taxes were filed by computer February. I was supposed to have a refund of $2027.00 The refund never came. I contacted the agent who electronically filed the return to ask why the process was taking so long. She said she had gone to the same IRS site as me and gotten the same answer that my tax refund was in process. I expected more from the HR employee, since you are HR Block and should have some clout. But the refund never came. Finally, last week, I received a notice that the refund was coming but it was now only around $850 They said the refund had been cut because either some information had been left out or figures had been computed incorrectly (both HR responsibilities). I even sent a copy of the IRS notice to the employee, Cindi Sikes, who filled out the IRS tax return. She hasn’t gotten back to me.
Suggested solution:
HR Block is supposed to stand by its work. I expect them to resolve this matter with the IRS and recover the full amount of the refund.
