H&R Block complaint: NYS withdrew my taxes TWICE from my bank

My complaint:

There is a problem with HR Block software. I was told to go to NYS web site and register my checking account routing number, which I did. Then when I went to submit my tax form, I was required to (AGAIN!) enter my checking account routing number. I thought it was strange to give this out twice, but I could not complete the filing without entering the checking account information… So, sure enough, NYS withdrew my taxes TWICE, just as I feared would happen!

Suggested solution:

HR Block should change their software to avoid submitting checking account information BOTH to NYS web site and again when filing electronically.

Also, it took me several transfers and holding times of 89 min (!!) to finally reach Levi. I was hoping HR Block would reach out to NYS to fix the problem. Instead I was given a phone number at NYS to call (expect additional holding times).

Instead I called my bank, who is fixing the problem for me.
