My complaint:
Too late – left taxes off came back the following day to get taxes done. My taxes are simple. I just needed to do a recovery credit for the stimulus check I have not received for some reason.
When I got home I glanced at the taxes that were prepared and an error was made on my direct deposit into my checking account. I gave them a check for $79.00 so they could see my account no. and routing number.
Suggested solution:
They pretty much wiped their hands and said Anyone can make mistakes. I got no where with 2 managers. I plan on investigating this further but takes a bit of time to talk with people on how to further approach this situation.
Everyone makes mistakes is unacceptable. The tax preparer should have asked to review the return before he e filed it to the IRS but he did not. Now I have been on the phone hours with the IRS trying to get my stimulus checks that I'm entitled. I never got an offer to give me back the $79.00 I paid for a mistake which created an absolute mess. In all the years I have worked with HR Block I never had a mistake made so I trusted them. Working with the IRS isn't easy and don't anticipate getting my money soon. The head manager is worthless.
