My complaint:
In December, I booked a round-trip ticket from the United kingdom to Goa and return with the booking reference no MAZBEX as I was traveling for my marriage. Unfortunately, due to unforeseen circumstances involving my father in law’s critical illness, I had to modify my travel plans and depart early to Goa. Upon my return journey from Goa to the UK, I faced an unexpected situation at Goa Airport. having a valid booking for the Goa to UK flight, I was not allowed to board because I did not utilize the initial UK to Goa leg of my journey.
Consequently, I was informed that in order to proceed with my travel, I needed to book a new ticket with the same PNR number that is MAZBEX and an additional charge of £400 was levied upon me. This situation has left me perplexed and concerned. I would appreciate clarification on why I was not permitted to board the Goa to UK flight, even though I intended to use the return portion of my original booking and was not intimated of this policy in advance Additionally, I am seeking an explanation for the necessity of the purchasing a new ticket where I was charged £400 charge, i had even received a ation email from gulf Air ing my flight on the 27/1/24 with a seat ation from Bahrain to United kingdom.
Considering the unexpected nature of my early departure to Goa due to a family emergency and my subsequent return journey, I kindly request your assistance in reviewing my case.l can send the relevant documents including medical documentation. I hope this additional information aids in understanding the circumstances surrounding my situation.I appreciate your attention to this matter and look forward to your response.
