My complaint:
My auction account was hacked and a bid was placed on a car! I received an email from grays online advising that I won a car. I thought it was a scam and disregarded the email! Next morning PayPal deducted $3716 from my account and I had no money which has put in debit fees onto my account. I contacted the police as they advised me that because the long weekend holiday was coming up to go and pick the car and keep it safe with me so there would be no issues in future. I had to tow the car to my house to ensure the offender would not have access to the car considering it was already paid for (from my acc) I have not seen the car and didn’t know the details of the car and felt like a fool at the auction place when I went to pick the car! After hours of searching they finally found the vehicle and handed it to me! I am already financially burdened and now this is out me through physical and emotional stress and I’m going crazy knocking doors to find out how to go about this and someone to help me. The police contacted me again and said the IP address was from Melbourne and someone there used my account! I am physically in Brisbane and cannot go to Melbourne to place a bid for a car that I haven’t seen in Brisbane! I contacted Grays and they promised to look into this for me and said that I would have to return the vehicle but have to pay for some costs involved. They said they would organize a time on Thursday (7 -10- 2021) but no one called me and I called PayPal and Grays and they said it will take Time. My bank acc is in debt for the first time in my life with debt fees charged everyday. I had to apply for finance to cover this amount that I don’t have! Someone please help me!
