My complaint:
I mailed my car payment on 1-31-22 to Phoenix, AZ and it still has not made it to its destination. I had to electronically make February payment. I sent another payment for March now with 2 payments in the system. The latter cleared 3-5-22. The one from January has yet to make it. This happened last November to the same place. As soon as I electronically made a payment, four days later the missing payment hit. I have another bill that goes to Phoenix and have had to make double payments for the same reason. I retired from USPS and have never had such an issue in a geographic area.
The outstanding payment is now 5 weeks with other payments clearing since. This thing of making double payments is frustrating to the point I’m uneasy if I mail a bill it will make it. Each time the answer from the company is to go electronic. I want to support USPS because I came from them. I can’t make timely payments if this occurs. I also can’t make double payments or have checks endlessly floating out there. I had another bill clear this morning that was a couple towns over and it took 7 days to get there. Here of late each time this happens I begin to worry and wonder if it is going to make it and on time so I don’t have to take steps to avoid late fees. I thought it was the company, but now its clear it is something happening within the USPS.
Suggested solution:
Being that other mail has made it to the location since and mail to other areas seem unaffected, I request to see if the hub that processes the mail is holding or delaying mail. Unfortunately I have nothing to show. If need be I could show copies of checks that have cleared with their dates and when cleared the bank. Before I go to that extreme and shell out money to my bank, I hope you would check the region to see if there are any irregularities.
