My complaint:

I was thrilled to have a new GIANT store location closer to me. At first opening, brand new store, was wonderful. No long lines, nice workers eager to help. Now, customer service is terrible! Long waits at the Deli even when there isn’t a line. Deli people are rude and do not acknowledge when you are standing there. They have check out rows without cashiers. Only ONE CASHIER working the register! The self check out lines are all the way to the alcohol section, it’s terrible! My husband I spend at least $200.00 in groceries just about every week or every other week. At least have a line available for self check out. I decided to wait in line for a cashier last week. The young lady did not speak so I just dismissed it. When it was time to bag my items, she started tossing them in the bags! This is unacceptable! Would you like someone tossing your purchased goods in bags? Not me! I told her I would pack them myself. After she rung me up as I was still packing my groceries, she’s standing there holding the receipt in hand as if to say hurry up I’m handing you your receipt. If this is the kind of employees GIANT hires, then I’ll go to ACME. I don’t need to be hassled at a grocery store. I shouldn’t feel stressed to do grocery shopping. If anything you want your customers happy so that they’d want to return. Evidently GIANT doesn’t feel this way based on the poor customer service.

Suggested solution:

TRAIN YOUR EMPLOYEES CUSTOMER ETIQUETTE! Provide more available self check out lanes and also cashiers for faster checking out. Deli customer service needs improvement with communication with customers.
