My complaint:

I asked the meat guys where the free turkeys were and they showed me. I had the receipt for the free turkey and gave it to the cashier. When she was ready to add the coupon she asked for help from the Customer Service. Both girls said the free turkey are done. I explained I had the certificate and it said til January. I explained my freezer was full because we get state funds until my husband gets a better job and I had no room until now. They said the certificate expired in November. I showed them the 124 date on the receipt and they said it should say 1124 expired. They left and I gave back the turkey. I didn’t ask them to honor it. I feel so bad because I spend all my state funds at this store and the pharmacy and now I don’t have a Christmas turkey because I only read the initial part of the date to redeem. I feel they could have made an exception. All my experiences here have been positive, otherwise.

Suggested solution:

I ask that I may please get the free turkey for what is spent at the store to get the certificate in the first place. I understand I should have read the receipt better.
