My complaint:
Driving January 2022 at night and realized I didn’t have any headlights. Went to dealership. Was told there was a faulty seal in the headlight assembly so my headlights are full of water and have shorted out. $6000.00 to fix, car is kind of safe just don’t drive at night.
I realize my bumper to bumper warranty has aged out even though I have less than 50,00 km on my car but a known faulty seal should have warranted a recall. I collect disability and cannot pay $6000.00 so my car just sits in the driveway. I wrote twelve letters and customer service emailed me to say I had no warranty and they ran the VIN and there were not any recalls so I was on my own.
Suggested solution:
In my letters I simply asked for an explanation as to why they did not fix this known issue for those who had the version of car. What classifies as a need to issue a recall. This seal was fixed in the 2016 model so fix mine!!
This whole scenario just makes me sick. Third car I have purchased from this company and my car is kind of safe just don\'t drive at night. I was foolish to assume this was a stand up company and that I mattered.
