My complaint:

I purchased a 2020 XT4 in March of 2020. Approximately 3 months after, I had brake issues. I took it to Ron Carter service center(where I purchased the vehicle)in Friendswood, Tx. It remained in service for approximately 1 week in which they said that they oiled the brakes. A few months later, I had to take the vehicle back to service because of brake issues. Again, it was in service for 1 week and they said that they did not find any problem with the brakes. In the meantime, I had to take it back to service for transmission issues and the backup camera went out. By this time..I am very frustrated and was feeling that I had leased a lemon. A few months later, I drove to Dallas and was having brake issues on the way. I called Sewell Cadillac of Dallas and had them to come and pick the vehicle up because I was not going to drive it in that traffic–not knowing if the brakes were going to fail.
WELL–it finally happened. On July 2, 2021(just before I was going to take a trip out of state for the holiday)God spared me from loosing my life. I had A COMPLETE BRAKE FAILURE with only 8k miles. A complete new brake system had to be installed. My nerves has not been the same. That was the scariest experience that I have ever encountered. My life flashed before my eyes. The vehicle had to be towed to service because it was not drivable. There were NO BRAKES. The vehicle was then in service for approximately 1 week. The dealership wanted me to pick the car up immediately because they needed their LOANER car back. They were NOT concerned about my life or me at all–just that they were short on loaners. I cried because I have been a LOYAL GM customer and also LOYAL to Ron Carter and I realized that meant NOTHING to EITHER.

I ask for the help of a LEMON LAW attorney but GENERAL MOTORS seems to be ignoring him also.

I WILL NOT sit silent even if I have to contact the main stream media.

Suggested solution:

I would like for them to buy this vehicle back. I am reluctant to remaining a GM customer but IF I must--I need GM to put me in a different vehicle. I DO NOT want another XT4. I leased the TOP OF THE LINE and I want to be put in a TOP of the line XT6 for the price that I could have gotten in 2020 because I had not planned to purchase anything right now due to the high prices of new vehicles since COVID. I also need compensation for my anguish because I had kept trying to tell them that something was wrong months and months before the brakes completely failed!!
