My complaint:
The unit just quit mid-load and the door is locked, Tech cam out and guessed as to what part to change and then ordered said part, 1 week later different tech came out and changed part. As soon as they plugged it it started smoking and he immediately cut the power. Tech said he cannot diagnose it the issue since it wont turn on. He decided to order another part. It will be here on Thursday. No guarantee that this will fix the problem since the unit cannot be diagnosed. Called GE to ask for replacement. GE refuses to replace the unit and insists I need to stay in a repair status for 21 days or they will not replace. This will require me to take another day off work to wait for the 5 hour window when the tech will come out. Not to mention I have been taking my clothes to a laundromat for 2 weeks. Also the load of clothes stuck in the washer are most certainly ruined as they are wet have been inside for 2 weeks. I just want a new washer.
Suggested solution:
Replace the washer with a new one.
