My complaint:

Recently I bought a Lenovo All in one computer for my mom. When I realized how little RAM it had I decided to upgrade it. I spoke to an agent online to ask if Geek Squad would do the upgrade and was assured it was no problem.I scheduled the appointment and included in the notes exactly what I needed. When I arrived, the Guy at the counter, who acted as if he’d never seen a computer before, looked it over and said he needed to take it in the back. After about 10 minutes he returned and said that this particular model they could not do but they could refer me to an affiliate repair shop that specialized in this. I later learned that this exact excuse was given to my Mother-in-law the day before, referring to an HP Desktop. So obviously it was not My particular model. And interestingly the affiliate shop they referred me to had no idea what I was talking about, didn’t do upgrades, and didn’t know anyone at Geek Squad. So My complaint is… there were several opportunities in which I could have been told no, saving my time and effort of coming down there, and then why was I sent on a wild goose chase? If your one job is to fix, repair, and setup technology.. to refuse to do a simple upgrade because of liability you might damage it, only tells me how absolutely incompetent your experts actually are.

Suggested solution:

they wont even care
