My complaint:
Recently. I had my Iphone repaired at Best Buy. The location is included in this complaint. During the repair I was asked to give my email address to the Best Buy Geek Squad clerk.
Shortly, after the repair, I started receiving orders purchases emails saying I have an account. I have not opened an account with Geek Squad. There have been several times this has been done. I realize the threat of fraud and ID theft is a very criminal offense. Apparently, someone at Best Buy Geek Squad is using my email and ID to maintain the account in question. I am reporting this info to the Georgia Consumer Fraud, Consumer Protection Division and the Better Business Bureau .
Suggested solution:
This matter should be resolved by having an investigation to find out who and how this breach of trust has occurred. I do not want to be held accountable for purchases accounts I did not make nor authorized.
I have proof of the transactions. I am not able to include them in this email.
