My complaint:
I have shopped at this Family Dollar since it opened and found the ladies and staff in general happy helpful and easy to find they were usually stocking shelves if it was slow. Today I again went and I know a lot has changed there over the last couple of weeks since the 2 young men there informed me they were fired for having old schemes on the shelves. Well today I walked in and the young man at the register yelled at me over his customers at checkout you have to have a mask, well I had one and put it on, then went on and shopped, as I walked the isles I noticed a woman shopping with no mask, I got what I needed and went to the register and the lady was in front of me so I asked the clerk, the no mask policy only applies to some people? he just shrugged and the lady said I left mine in my purse which is home, I guess she had no driver license with her either. Then the tall young man smoking and who had his mask down under his chin when I walked in said ‘you would be surprised how many people can’t read the sign on the door. I said I didn’t see it as I was getting my cart, wiping it down and clipping my purse to it, as I walked out I looked back and a tiny little white paper sign with scribbled the message I guess because I wasn’t going to walk up close to read it and have the doors auto-open on me in which case I wouldn’t be able to read it anyway. All the endcaps had no prices on anything back by the cooler, was going to buy the jasmine rice bag but no price and the 2 guys working were in and out the front doors smoking and complaining. I now choose to not shop at family dollar any longer and I always spent no less than 15 up to 75 dollars twice a week there. I know these are tough times but I’ll take old schemes, items with prices and polite people everyday of the week. Thank you for your time I will no longer shop or spend my money with you even though you are so close to me.
Suggested solution:
No need I am solving it for you by giving my business to another store not affiliated with Family Dollar. And for the record, I do not know any of the women that used to work there, all I know is that they were always polite and helpful which is a big plus with me.
