My complaint:
The property manager, came to my room to do a weekly inspection. I had just returned from work and dressed down to my underwear to relax.
He entered my room and told me to leave while he did his inspection. When inspections were conducted in the past, I was never asked to leave my room under any circumstances by any of the staff.
Although I was reluctant about waiting outside in my drawers, I complied. He then closed the door behind me to check the inside locks. When he was done with the locks, he left me remaining outside. Thinking that it was OK to reenter my room, I did so. He turned to me and got really nasty. He made me exit my room a second time and told me to stay outside until he completed his inspection.
Once he was done, he left and I went back inside he was very disrespectful towards me for no reason whatsoever. I’ve never disrespected him or his staff, and never had any kind of altercation with either. Yet, he berated me and talked down to me as if I was a child.
He came to my room and behaved like a bully. I’m a senior citizen, and all I want is peace and quiet. I’ve never behaved badly with anyone. To my recollection, I’ve never had any complaints filed against me by any of the other guests. I’ve never had to be disciplined or reprimanded for any reason.
His behavior was totally uncalled for, and I wish to put him on notice. Being told to leave my room just for a simple inspection, and getting scolded for reentering was just plain nasty. I’ve been paying a lot of money at the weekly rate for many months and never ever had a dispute. With that, I demand the upmost courtesy.
Suggested solution:
I\'d like for this to be brought to his attention with a request that he personally apologize to me without excuses.
