My complaint:
I am a Diabetic I have been one sense 2009, During that time I have had two Diabetic doctors, and both have left the area. I live in Swoyersville, Pa. My family Dr. and I manage mt Diabetes together he orders my insulin and I inject myself based on what my readings are. I have not seen a diabetic Dr. in 10 years as there are very few available in this area as they are busy handling patients with problems which I do not have. My diabetes is well controlled by me. My Dr. requested a Freestyle Libre 2 system from Express-Scripts so I can stop sticking myself 4 times a day. Express-Scripts refused to approve the request without me completing a comprehensive diabetes education program. I am not a stupid person, and I am sure I can understand the instructions that come with the kit. Otherwise tell me where I can find the program that I can attend.
Suggested solution:
Provide me with the Freestyle Libre 2 Sensor Kit and the items that I need on a regular basis to continue to use this method of obtaining my Diabetes numbers prior to my injection of insulin which I do 4 times daily. My Dr. James Galasso has already submitted a request to Express-Scripts which they denied due to me not having the education they require.
