My complaint:
I have upgraded my economy ticket (AUH-VIE) on 14-10-2021 to Business Class with 56,710 miles. the ticket was changed and Etihad ed by their call centre (records can be checked) that miles cannot be refunded but can be used to upgrade on the same ticket once traveling date is firmed. after i firmed the traveling date i called etihad more than 10 times asking upgrading the same ticket with the miles as agreed but no feedback nor follow up. only yesterday they said that it cannot be without specifying valid justification. i asked them to talk to the manager and they promised to call in 30 minutes and until now i’m waiting for 2 days. i’m traveling tomorrow morning.
Suggested solution:
once my airmiles are refunded or upgrade my ticket to Business Class as it was considering that i'm traveling tomorrow on the same ticket and route
